Pat E. Goodwin, Vice President of York Career Development, Inc. has spent the past 20 years working with individuals in career transition. She is the former owner and President of Austin Career Consultants, Inc and partner of Career Consultants Temporaries. After selling both firms in 1994, she joined Reedie York, an outplacement firm specializing in career transition. In 1997, Pat joined DBM and shortly after joining was promoted to Managing Consultant. She spent 8.5 years with DBM and recently started her own firm, Pat Goodwin Associates.

During her career, Pat has worked with hundreds and hundreds of clients in career transition, facilitated multiple workshops with a strong focus on clients moving forward successfully to their next opportunity. She was directly responsible for overseeing the DBM Austin office, hiring for multiple career center projects and personally handling a large client load.

She has worked with a large number of clients both individually and facilitating workshops from IBM, Dell Computer, Applied Materials, Motorola, Freescale, Chase Bank, numerous software organizations, insurance companies, hospitals, and many manufacturing firms.

Currently she is specializing in coaching clients as well as training executive search firms to prepare candidates more effectively prior to the interview. She has spoken locally and nationally on this topic, “Preparing Your Candidate for the Interview”. She also enjoys working with teams identifying communications styles in order to improve organizational effectiveness.

Pat is the co-founder and past President of the Capital City Association of Personnel Consultants as well as Past President of the Texas Association of Personnel Consultants. She was awarded the prestigious Norval Locke Award for lifetime achievement in the personnel industry. During her tenure with DBM, Pat was honored with several top level awards for delivering outstanding customer service to clients. She has been active in the community for a number of years and a member of numerous organizations. Pat holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Concordia University and is a Certified Personnel Consultant.

Her passion and gift is working with clients providing guidance and career direction, coaching and training. Her clients have benefited from her expertise in articulating their accomplishments in a more clear, confident and concise manner. She enjoys facilitating workshops having been recognized for her excellent ability to communicate and presentation style.
